In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 business apps in Africa saw varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared during this period based on data from Sensor Tower.

Zoom Workplace experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 119K and peaking at 175K in mid-January. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, growing from approximately 1.9M to 2.2M by the end of March. Revenue saw fluctuations, with notable peaks of $50 in mid-January and $33 in the last week of March.

Microsoft Teams also exhibited growth in downloads, beginning at 41K and reaching a high of 97K in late February. Active user numbers increased from 760K at the start of January to around 930K by the end of March. Notably, Microsoft Teams did not generate any revenue during this period.
